The Date

Well we have the official date of our wedding figured out. It is nice to know what it is. We are getting married on Saturday June 7, 2008. It's exciting we finally have a few things set in stone. The wedding date, the bridesmaid dresses are ordered. I am going to order my dress tomorrow. We've started our Bridal Registries. I have a good idea of the flowers I want to use. And some ideas for our ceremony.

On a side note it was great getting to spend Christmas with Tim. And him getting to know my parents better.

Holidays

Okay so this doesn't actually have a whole lot to do with wedding stuff.... But I am really excited about Christmas this year. I get to spend it with Tim. :) and that is exciting, it is the first of many Christmas' I will get to spend with him. I bought a tree a couple weeks ago and Tim helped me pick out the ornaments and decorate it. Anyway this is my first Christmas outside of Michigan but I think it will be fun, different but nice. My brother flies in later today. Should be great.

On a wedding note, Tim and I started our registries the other day, it was kinda fun. Nice to have one more thing started at least. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas

Dress Shopping

My mom, sister and I went dress shopping yesterday. We ordered the Bridesmaids dresses. It feels good to have it done. I also tried on more wedding dresses. There were some very pretty ones but i am still going to get the one that I really liked before. I am going to order it by the end of the week. It will be really nice to have that done. Anyway Wedding planning is going pretty well. We have lots of ideas for stuff just have to finish doing some research and actually lock some things down. Hopefully we'll get more figured out while my parents are here for Christmas.

5 months to go

Time is flying by right now. It seems like Tim and I just got engaged and it's been a little over two months since then and it is now only about five months till our wedding. I feel like we don't really have a whole lot planned yet but we have lots of ideas and need to find time to sit down and work them out. We have figured out what type of invitations we are going to use, well make. I got some stuff to try out my idea and it worked out really well. I like how they turned out. I got part of the supplies we are going to need and I will get the rest here soon so we can get stuff started. Hopefully alot of stuff should be able to get planned while my parents are down for Christmas. I made appointments today for a couple different bridal places and so we can go in and get the bridesmaid dresses ordered. Should be fun.

Bridesmaid Dresses

My sister, Karen, and I went shopping to look at Bridesmaid dresses a couple weeks ago. It was fun. It was my first time in an actual Bridal Salon. Anyway this is a picture of the dress that I chose for the girls, only thing that is different is that the sash around the waist and the material at the bottom that are pink in the photo are going to be cobolt blue. It will be really pretty. I love that I get to use both of the colors we chose for the girls dresses besides they are fun.

A Suit and Some Dresses

So far, our wedding plans are going a bit slow, so, don't expect many posts anytime soon. Anyway, I had finally found a black suit to wear for the wedding. I found it at J.C. Penny and got it for just over 50% off. I was pretty excited especially since it was my size and I've had a lot of trouble finding a black suit in my size lately. I was hoping I could find one for the wedding, and, now, I did. So, for the next six months, it'll be hanging in my closet. Oh, Sarah also picked out the bridesmaids dresses already. We've also picked out the colors already and I think Sarah has an idea on the flowers she wants. We have a marriage counselor, but we still need an officiator. I think we still have to find one usher. I'm not sure. We might still need to find both. Anyway, that's just about everything we have done in a nutshell. I'm not planning on getting much more done until after finals this semester, but that's because I've only got about 3 weeks left in this semester.
